Darnel Robinson, better known by his stage name Dru Down, is an American rapper and actor from Oakland, California.[1] He is a member of The Regime, a collective of rappers that includes Yukmouth, Tech N9ne, Messy Marv, BG Bulletwound, Dorasel, Grant Rice, Tha Realest and Gonzoe... Dru Down debuted in 1994 with Explicit Game, scoring a hit with the single "Mack of the Year"; the record also served as a launching pad for his Bay Area cronies the Luniz. Down returned in 1996 with Can You Feel Me; that same year, he also made his film debut in Original Gangstas. 2001's Pimpin' Phernelia, 2002's Gangsta Pimpin', and 2006's Cash Me Out (with Lee Majors) followed

Dru Down also plays a part in the 1996 movie Original Gangstas and in 2001 he released a movie of his own named Hip Hop & Porn Stars. Currently. Dru Down released Chronicles of a Pimp on November 16 2010.
